Charlestown is a very unique and special town. Their is so much potential for Charlestown. We need leaders that understands the needs of his or her constituents, and will represent all Charlestown Families. I believe that we can grow while still maintaining that small hometown feel. Bringing in businesses and good restaurants to our community that will be an asset is very important. Investing in resources and working in collaboration with all stakeholders involved such as our children, parents, grandparents, church leaders, law enforcement, teachers, school administration, elected leaders and local businesses is vital to the success of our community.

About
Ronald Blevins is running for City Council in Charlestown, Indiana because he truly cares about the people in the community. Ronald and his wife has 4 kids that are active in sports here in Charlestown. Ronald Blevins is the son of a pastor in Charlestown where he currently is the Associate Pastor and music minister. He has budgeted large budgets and he believes in being fiscally responsible. He wants Charlestown citizens to have a voice and to be involved in the decision making process. As a christian conservative republican, Blevins will fight for what is right and stand against what is wrong. Ronald Blevins is pro-life, pro-law enforcement, pro-constitution, for lower taxes, believes in a transparent form of government and fairness for all citizens. He believes regardless of what your social stratification is, you matter and your voice matters. Ronald believes the government should be held accountable for its actions and work for the people.
Education
The Stakes are High
As a parent and educator, Ronald Blevins is truly passionate about this issue. As it is one that impacts so many all over the world. We are blessed to have a great education system within the Greater Clark County Schools. But there is still a lot of work to be done. Blevins has a desire to work with school administrators and our local school board to better the lives of our students. We should make safety a number one priority in our schools. It is important that our elected officials work closely with our schools to ensure the resources to do so.
Collaboration among our children, school leaders, parents, grandparents and elected leaders has to happen if we truly want the best for Charlestown families. Whether you are Republican, Democrat or Independent, this affects us all. Creating many opportunities in our community is vital for our youth. I will invest in our sports program, as well as create opportunities for our youth to become involved in fine art programs such as music.

For a Better Future
Blevins is proud to support and push for positive change throughout the community. This is a controversial issue that has gained lots of attention nationally as well as resulted in lawsuits over recent years. As City Councilman, Ronald Blevins will address this issue head on, and rally the support to ensure that we do have affordable housing for families and our senior citizens. Blevins believes in energy efficient affordable housing in great quality neighborhoods for lower income and our senior citizens. Blevins believes that all people are very valuable to our community.
